I have bitten the bullet and enrolled on the Children's Writer's Course with the Writer's Bureau. I have 15 days to decide whether to continue with the course or get my money back. From what I've read so far it seems pretty good, though I'm waiting for a hard coppy to come through the post to really sink my teeth into.
I already have my first assignment: creating characters for four different age groups. Suffice to say I'm looking forward to it. Stay tuned for more postings on my assignments including these character portfolios.
